Better Than The Movies by Lynn Painter
Summary on the book (SPOILERS)
You meet liz buxbaum and the book starts out with her fighting over a parking spot with Wes fucking Bennett her childhood enemy. You find out that Liz's mom is dead and basically throughout the book she haunts the narrative. Liz has a crush on Michael Young who is one of her other childhood best friends. I'm pretty sure he had just moved back to their town im not entirely sure about that I read this book in January. Liz also has a best friend named Jocelyn and a Lacy like the Olivia Rodrigo song but the girls name is actually Laney. Wes finds out about Liz's crush on Michael and makes a deal with her to fake date to make him want Liz, classic trope fr. Wes and Liz get into this Car accident nothing bad happens to them but they kiss. Then the next day randomly Michael asks Liz to prom. He wanted to ask Laney but I don't remember why he didn't ngl. Wes lets it happen and takes this other girl Alex to prom Liz gets upset and after prom she goes home and she goes into Wes's backyard to confess her love for him but he shows up with fucking Alex and they see Liz and its this really awkward scene then Liz goes back into her car and Wes comes up to the window, Wes admits that he's always had feelings for Liz which is why he was taking the parking spot he says the ICONIC line of "She isn't you" and the books ends with them together. That's how I remember it.
My Opinion⭐⭐⭐
Honestly I gave the book a 3 star rating. I gave it 3 stars because the book was just so cute there's no spice it made me feel like I was reading a rom-com I was REALLY immersed in this book when I read it and if you didnt know its becoming a movie😛. The only thing I didn't really like about this book is I kinda thought Liz was a bit annoying and the outfits in this book were genuinely horrendous. Besides that the book was honestly really good I would recommend it. The vibe this book had was so cute and every chapter a movie quote like ughh adorableee!! 
I was about to audition for jocelyn for the movie but I pussied out. I don't know how to act. My Fav Quotes
